i had a brief moment (a few hours) when I felt like one person, and it was the most amazing moment in my life. it felt incredible to be whole, way better than i expected. since then I'm working towards final fusion
9:59 PM
and at this point i don't have much sentiment for having headmates, because i know that even after fusing i could very easily get headmates
i wish in did community there was more positivity about final fusion. not everyone is in place of their life to do it, but because everyone is so negative about it people just automatically think it's something really bad to happen (i believed that because of the community too, until i had the experience i mentioned before)

I think most of tulpamancers feel like one person for most of the time anyway.
I know I do and I create my tulpas to be fully fledged people as well

in my opinion tulpamancers should not try to abandon the ability to feel like one whole person because that can potentially cause more self-inflicted problems
and alternative to it would be to just have something like a systemsona if the above doesn't feel right
I also think that tulpamancers should not forget about being ultimately a one person... But I don't know why people should bother with having a systemsona.

@Alejandro - jump
a lot of tulpamancers don't like the idea of ultimately being one person. i think a systemsona is a second best thing for people like that
Yea, I thought it was a identity that represented the system. A brief merge is interesting though. I wonder if a headmate could represent that merge as well.

I don't think the headmate version would really count as 'one person' though
some people spend a lot of effort for personal growth that changes their beliefs and view of who they are and view of their mind, and it can go to the point that they actually experience not being one person at all on any level, and suggesting otherwise can be faced with strong reaction
Hmm... I can see Alejandro's initial comment seeming a bit rude, but I also don't know how beneficial or negative having something like a 'systemsona' would be
there are some dynamics in a system that can be self-inflicted dysfunctions, here are a few:
-tulpas feeling they are missing a lot of life because they only get a few hours a week to front, it causes real distress
-tulpamancers after some time start manipulating their self image unknowingly, causing body dysmorphia
-because for some people identity gets so fluid and they spend so much time wonderlanding, they stop identifying with their name
those things would definitely not be present if people considered to be ultimately one person, but it's not always the case. having a systemsona that stays identifying with the body, given name and to consider to be all headmates at once would solve all those problems
10:21 PM
of course it's not happening to all tulpamancers, and i don't even think it happens to most of them, but i think a safety valve like that would be useful for people
(Lol, I just thought of Perfect Cell from DBZ as a systemsona)

first of all, in my system it is established that when Im not talking to my tulpas they are doing their own thing in wonderland somewhere. this resolves the issue of "not enough fronting".
second of all, I must admit, I was a victim of the last point in the beginning of my journey...
10:23 PM
I went by a different name with my tulpas and even imagined myself looking different
10:23 PM
but at one point I got burned out and erased my tulpas' memories of the alter ego I had created
tulpas feeling they are missing a lot of life because they only get a few hours a week to front, it causes real distress
I can't see how it applies to this problem at all.

But yeah, it might be helpful for these ones if the host becomes separated from body.
I'd like to mention the fact that the problem here is related to no identity being associated with a body rather than people not seeing themselves as a one person. It's enough for the host (or maybe one of tulpas) to associate themselves with the body to prevent these problem. Seeing oneself as more than one person is not necessarily their source.(edited)
I consider some of my tulpas my siblings so it's kinda disheartening to hear. But well, I could understand that could put a wall between you and your real family.
